Five Day Reflection...

Well, it’s day 25.  Still trotting along.  I’ve come up with a challenge for May.  It’s called Maymester Festival.  I’m really to complete this novel this year.  It’s been a struggle, but I’ve been able to write lately.  I’m going to keep going.  This last little push has been a good thing.  It’s got me moving along.

Gotta keep going on purpose with my writing.

Ten Day Reflection...

It's day 20.  It's been a rough go of this camp.  I should've remembered how bad it is for me in Spring.  This week has been good.  I got three back to back days of writing.  That felt good.

I'm encouraged because I can see the story and where it is going.  I'm going to finish this one this year.  I've made it a goal.  I plan on seeing it through.  I have until November to get it done, then, I'll work on the next project.  I'm going to have projects for a few years.

I submitted Subtle Manipulations to an agency.  They rejected it.  I fell horrible, but it's a growing experience.  I'll try again another time.

I'm considering changing the goal for this Camp.  Sixty thousand was too much for me during the Spring.  I'll keep writing.

I only have three more weeks of the Spring semester left!

Yippee!  I need a BREAK!

Ten Day Reflection...

Day ten has been better.  I was able to write yesterday.  It felt good.  Today has been hard because of pollen in the air.  I've hard several allergy attacks because there was pollen on my car and they were cutting the grass today.  UGH!

I wasn't able to write, but I worked on the novel.  I saw several holes in the chapters and decided to fix them.  I have a lot to write to get things worked out.  Fixing the holes will get me over 3,500 words.

On a sadder note, I lost about 450 words.  I'm terribly upset about that.  But, I should be able to get those words back.

Not quite ready to quit, yet.  Tomorrow should be a better day!

Did some work on the novel.

Camp: Day Six

Dear Mom,

Camp is going horribly.
My allergies are acting up. I need more tissue and benadryl. Everything is itching. I can't get any writing done.

I wanna come home. Can you come pick me up?

Love you!

Camp: Day 5 (Update)

Five Day Reflection...

So far, Camp NaNoWriMo has been lackluster, dreary, and abysmal.  I’m about ready to give up.  Not even sure what to do at this point.  I know that Spring is a hard time of year for me because of my allergies and having to take allergy meds.  I wanted to try Camp NaNo this year because I want to finish one of my novels and I’m trying to use all the opportunities available to write with a specific goal in mind.  Plus, it’s great to have people encouraging you who are doing the same challenge as me.

People have been very encouraging, so that’s helped.  I gotta get back on track… and soon!

Camp: Day Five

I got so frustrated today because the students didn't listen.  I've looked at too many emails today.  Need a HUGE break!

Camp: Day Four

Today was a bad allergy day.  I had to get up early and go to the college today to make copies.  Walked outside, smelled the air, and said... "It's going to be a bad allergy day!"

Students worked on their essays, but it was like fighting a porcupine.  They didn't listen for anything!

I'm so tired today.

Camp: Day Two

Day two was horrible.  I ended up focusing on work today.  We are writing our major essays.  I needed to make sure they understood how to write the essay.

Camp: Day One

Well, Day one is off to an interesting start.  I had a hair appointment and a nail appointment.  So, I didn't have a full day of writing.

I feel good about the start.

Tomorrow will be better.
